How to control your Windows PC from your Android phone

Do I need Internet to use Avyn?: Not for everyday use: the phone and the PC talk inside your local network. The direct download of the Agent checks GitHub for updates; the Microsoft Store version does not connect to the Internet by itself.
Does it work away from home?: Avyn is designed for the local network: the phone and the PC need to be on the same network.
Can I control more than one PC?: Yes. The phone can store several paired PCs and you choose which one to connect to.
Can I pair more than one phone with the same PC?: Yes. Each phone is approved separately on the PC and revoked independently.

Do I have to type a code?: No. You only compare the verification code that appears on the phone with the one in the Pairing request on the PC, and approve if they match.
Can I pair using a QR code or the PC's IP address?: With the IP address, yes: if automatic search does not find the PC, tap "Connect by IP" in the app (version 1.1.3 and later) and type the IP address Avyn Agent shows on its Status screen. Not with a QR code.
Why does the code look different on each device?: It should be identical. If the two codes differ, reject the request: something on the network may be intercepting the connection.
Do I need an account or Internet to pair?: No. Pairing happens directly between the phone and the PC inside your local network.

Does Kantaria include songs?: No. You need to provide your own songs in UltraStar format.
Is it free?: Yes, Kantaria is free.
How many microphones can I use?: Up to four at the same time, each with its own player.
Do I need Internet?: No. Kantaria runs on your PC and your local network, with no accounts or cloud services.

Do I need a Smart TV?: No. The TV is used as one more display of your PC. If it is a compatible Samsung, Avyn can also turn it on and off over the network.
Does it work with any player?: Avyn controls Windows media sessions, so it works with many players. True full screen and the audio and subtitle controls are available with Auren; with others, Avyn maximizes the window on the TV.
Do I need Internet?: Avyn does not need it. The phone and the PC talk on your local network.

Can I pair a new phone over a VPN?: No. A new phone is always paired on the local network, in front of the PC, by comparing the verification code. Once it is paired, you can add the VPN address.
Does Avyn see my traffic or need a server?: No. Avyn has no intermediate servers: traffic goes straight between your phone and your PC over your own VPN.
Can I unlock the PC from outside my home?: No. Unlocking from the sign-in screen works only on the local network, on purpose: it types the Windows password from a high-privilege service.
